HELPING TEACHERS INSPIRE COMPASSION FOR ANIMALS, PEOPLE & THE ENVIRONMENT
Project FeederWatch begins
Embrace the winter! Count birds for science!
Project FeederWatch is a winter-long survey of birds that visit feeders at backyards, nature centers, community areas, and other locales in North America. Anyone interested in birds can participate – individually, as a family, or as a class. Participants watch their feeders as much or as little as they want over two consecutive days as often as every week (less often is fine). New participants are sent a Research Kit with complete instructions for participating, as well as a bird identification poster and more. Join Bird Studies Canada to participate, or get more information here. Project FeederWatch starts the second Saturday of November and runs for 21 weeks.
