HELPING TEACHERS INSPIRE COMPASSION FOR ANIMALS, PEOPLE & THE ENVIRONMENT

Horace Allen School, Coleman

Mrs. Margetak’s Grade Two Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and the discussion and activities that followed. The students especially liked the comparison activity between ants and people after reading Hey Little Ant! Bravo, Grade 2!

Evergreen Elementary School, Drayton Valley

The Kindergarten through Grade Four Classes at Evergreen Elementary School participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and the discussions that followed. Some of the students were even lucky enough to visit their local animal shelter. All students also widened their Circle of Compassion by completing an activity sheet! Fantastic job, students!

Kim Hung School, Edmonton

Ms. Garding’s Grade Five Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and the class discussion that followed each one. Fantastic job, Grade 5!

Chamberlain School, Grassy Lakes

Ms. Wong’s Kindergarten/Grade One Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and the activities that followed. Students were able to relate their own experiences of owning a pet to the stories. Way to go, students!

Willow Park School, Leduc

Mrs. Stassen’s Grade Five Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students loved the stories! Great discussions about responsible pet ownership was had with the students. Bravo, Grade 5!

Donald R. Getty School, Edmonton

Mrs. Lalonde’s Kindergarten Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and the discussions that followed around being kind to animals, people, and the environment. Great job, Kinders!

Lighthouse Christian Academy, Sylvan Lake

Mrs. River’s Grade Three Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and the discussions that followed. The students also wrote journal responses to each book! Fantastic job, Grade 3!

Eastbrook Elementary School, Brooks

Miss Labossiere’s Kindergarten Classes participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and the discussion about caring for animals that happened after each story. The students were able to related what they learned through the stories towards their classroom caterpillars and butterflies! Fantastic job, Kinders!

Mrs. Hochstein’s Grade Three Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students read the stories that help foster empathy and compassion towards animals, people, and the environment – every living thing! Good job, Grade 1!
