Ms. Dobson’s Grade Two Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and the discussion and activities that followed each book. Students were able to make connections with their school’s focus on wellness and belonging as well as their study of Iqaluit after reading, Kamik an Inuit Puppy Story. Bravo, Grade 2!

CW Sears Elementary School, Tofield

Mr. Stewart’s Grade Four Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and the discussion and activities that followed each book. Students especially enjoyed learning about caring for a guinea pig through listening to the poems in Oh Theodore! Great job, Grade 4!

A select number of students in Mrs. Lacharite’s Grade One Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the books and the activities and discussions that followed each story. Bravo, Grade 1!

Evergreen Elementary School, Drayton Valley

Mrs. Flett’s Kindergarten Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students found the stories very relatable and they helped promote class discussion. The students really enjoyed the post reading activities, especially the ball toss reflection and the sequencing activity that accompanied Ginger. Great job, Kinders!

Miss Ortman’s Grade Four Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and the discussion and activities that followed each book. Students demonstrated empathy through the class discussions as well as through their writing. Way to go, Grade 4!

Manmeet Singh Bhullar School, Calgary

Ms. Barley’s Grade One Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and the discussion and activities that followed each book. The students especially enjoyed trying to read the body language of their classmates while playing charades and writing a letter the ant after reading Hey Little Ant. Fantastic job, Grade 1!

The students particularly enjoyed retelling Not Norman! through Norman’s perspective and playing the ‘Which Animal Would You Adopt’ game. Bravo, Grade 2!
