Brookwood Elementary School, Spruce Grove

Mrs. Ainslie – O’Conner’s grade 3 class participated in AnimalTales. In addition to AnimalTales Brookwood Elementary School is “participating in We Scare Hunger, but with a twist.” On top of that they are “also collecting pet food & supplies for the Pet Food Bank of Parkland County.” Way to go grade 3!

Highwood School, Calgary

Ms. Dugdale’s grade 4 class participated in AnimalTales. They  enjoyed sharing and discussing the books and doing writing exercises. Way to go grade 4!

Lynnwood School, Edmonton

Mrs. Gachnang’s grade 4 class participated in AnimalTales. They demonstrated “mutual respect in group sharing” exercises and were “keen to share and participate.” Way to go grade 4!

Horace Allen School, Coleman

Along with participating in AnimalTales, Grade 2 students at Horace Allen School held their 2nd annual “Cupcakes to the Rescue” bake sale! They raised $400 for their local animal shelter! Way to go grade 2!!

Sunalta School, Calgary

Mrs. Willows’ grade 2 students enjoyed the the books in the AnimalTales program. They created persuasive paragraphs about the type of pet they would want and how they would care for them and be responsible. Way to go grade 2!

Viking School, Viking

Mrs. Taylor’s grade 5 class “enjoyed listening to and discussing” the stories in AnimalTales. They did research into service animals and created some poetry! Click through some of their Haiku below:
