Miss Lavalley’s Grade Three Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and the discussion and activities that followed each book. The discussion was focused on empathy and responsible pet ownership. Students were able to connect their lives with certain characters from the books! Way to go, Grade 3!
Westmount Charter Elementary School, Calgary
Twenty-two students participated in the AnimalTales program with Ms. Hamilton. In small groups of two or three, the students would read Tails Are Not for Pulling and then participate in a discussion around caring for animals (and people) and how to properly greet a dog. Way to go, students!

Mrs. Petrillo’s Grade Five Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and the discussion and activities that followed each one. Through the class discussion the students displaying compassion, empathy and respect for animals. Way to go, Grade 5!
