École à la Découverte, Edmonton

Miss El Weslati’s Grade 4 Class participated in the AnimalTales program. A Home for Dakota, demonstrated to students the importance and reason for certain medial treatments. The books also helped students with their persuasive writing project. Discussion was had about the responsibilities that come with owning a pet.   Fantastic job Grade 4!

Ms. Gill’s Grade Two students participated in the AnimalTales program. The activities and, specifically, the discussion questions that followed each book allowed for students to express empathy and critical thinking skills.   Great work Grade Two!

École Campbelltown, Sherwood Park

The Grade Fives at Campbelltown School participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the books and the discussion and activities that followed. C’mere Boy, helped the students work on voice and perspective taking, and Dogku, was used in their poetry unit.   Bravo Grade 5!

The Grade Twos at Horace Allen School participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the books and the discussion and activities that followed each story, specifically the online resources. Mrs. Taylor’s Grade 5 Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed each story and the discussion and activities that followed. Mrs. Taylor tied AnimalTales in with their Shiloh unit and it fit perfectly!   Great job Grade 5!

Penhold Elementary School, Penhold

Miss Wiggins’ Grade Five Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed each book and the activities and discussion that followed; specifically the activities that involved the animal cards! Lots of great discussion was had and the students created presentations for their classmates on responsible pet ownership!   Fantastic job Grade 5!

Mrs. Schapansky’s Kindergarten Class participated in the AnimalTales program. These eager students loved having the stories read to them.   Good job Kinders!

Royal Oak School, Calgary

Mrs. Fournier’s Grade Three Class participated in the AnimalTales program.The students loved the stories and were very engaged during and after reading each one. Lots of great discussion was had, and it became very clear that strong feelings towards animals is a common trait in the class.   Bravo Grade 3!

Mrs. Luk’s Grade Four Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed each story and the discussions that followed.
