Ms. Wilson’s Grade 3 Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students loved the stories and enjoyed the discussion and activities that followed. Way to go Grade 3!

Miss Skunta’s Grade 3 Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students had great discussions around caring for animals followed by writing about what pet they would like to adopt and how they would care for it! “What can we do to help people learn to care for animals?” – student. Fantastic job Grade 3!

Buffalo Head Prairie School, Buffalo Head Prairie

Mrs. Palin’s Kindergarten Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students loved story time with each book which really helped the students build the personal connection. Students shared their personal experiences with animals and pets during the group discussion. Great job Kinders!

Windsong Heights School, Airdrie

Ms. Petit’s Grade 6 class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the class discussion that followed the stories, and sharing their personal experiences. How Smudge Came, in particular, prompted an enlightening conversation around people with disabilities. Fantastic Job Grade 6’s!  

Wainwright Elementary School, Wainwright

Mrs. Nelson’s Grade 1 Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students loved all the stories and enjoyed the writing and discussing that occurred after reading each book! Awesome Job Grade 1!

Andrew Sibbald School, Calgary

Miss Manes Grade 2 Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed reading the books (multiple times!) and were able to make connections to a service dog that was in their classroom earlier in the school year. Fantastic Job Grade 2!

Miss Hauptman’s Kindergarten Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and activities that followed. Mundare School, Mundare

Mrs. Sobkow’s Grade 4 Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed discussion responsible pet ownership! The story, Oh Theodore!, was used as an introduction to their poetry unit! Great job Grade 4!

St. Theresa School, Wabasca

Miss Fazio’s Kindergarten Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the books and were able to relate the themes of each book back to them, and how they feel. After reading Tails Are Not for Pulling the students were able to demonstrate how to appropriately approach a dog. Excellent job Kinders!

Bertha Kennedy Catholic Community School, St. Albert

Mrs. Andressen’s Grade 2/3 Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed reading and discussing each book as they worked through their Language Arts project on beavers! The students were also able to tie in the stories with Earth Hour and Earth Day! Bravo students!
