Cochrane & Area Humane Society

The Critter Club at the Cochrane & Area Humane Society completed the AnimalTales program! While discussing the wildlife trade they used Always Blue for Chicu, and used One Duck when discussing conservation! Great job Critter Club!

Eldorado Elementary School, Drayton Valley

Mrs. Huska’s Grade 4 Class completed the AnimalTales program! The students used the books to help discuss their feelings, and specifically used A Home for Dakota to help them with a change of perspective in their writing! Fantastic job Grade 4’s!

Mary Bergeron Elementary School, Edson

Mrs. Kent’s Grade 3 Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students loved all the books, especially the poems in Oh, Theodore!   Bravo Grade 3’s!

Dr. Karl A Clark Elementary, Fort McMurray

Mrs. Godin’s Grade 6 class participated in the AnimalTales program! The students enjoyed all the books and were introduce to researching and finding credible resources through AnimalTales.   Fantastic job Grade 6!

Rutherford School, Edmonton

Mrs. Legg’s Grade Two Class participated in the AnimalTales program! The students used Hey, Little Ant to practice their persuasive writing. The students wrote letters from the ant’s perspective on why the ant should not be squished. The students also made a Kindness Tree for their classroom. Great Job Grade 2!

Red Deer Lake School, Calgary

Mrs. Felske’s Grade One Class participated in the AnimalTales program! The students loved the books, which lead to great discussions in the classroom. Bravo Grade 1!

Fultonvale Elementary Junior High, Sherwood Park

Mrs. Kitson’s Kindergartens participated in the AnimalTales program. Great discussion was sparked by the books and the students enjoyed the Smart Board activities that accompanied the books. Fantastic job Kinders!

Morinville Public School, Morinville

Ms. Goldsmith’s Kindergarten Class participated in the AnimalTales program! The students learned that not all situations are good for a pet, and that it is their responsibility to help look after the animals in their house. Bravo Kinders!

St. Mary’s Elementary School, Fort Vermilion

Ms. Guitard’s Kindergarten students participated in the AnimalTales program. They read one book a day and did the post reading activities at carpet times – which always lead to great discussion! These avid learners also wrote about being an animal friend in their journals. Bravo Kinders!

Horace Allen School, Coleman

Mrs. Fast’s Grade 2 Class participated in the AnimalTales program! The students loved the stories and enjoyed bringing their own experiences with their pets into group discussion and the post reading activities. Great Job Grade 2’s!
