St. Mary’s Elementary School, Fort Vermilion

Ms. Brand’s Grade 3’s participated in the AnimalTales program! The students enjoyed reading the books and the discussion that followed! They discussed how they could handle similar situations addressed in the books, and also about responsible pet ownership! Fantastic Job Grade 3!

Isabel Campbell School, Grande Prairie

Mrs. Holdway’s Grade 5 Class participated in the AnimalTales program! The students were excited to read the books! They used the books as part of their ‘Animal/Pet Week’, which really helped them expand their thinking! Amazing Job Grade 5’s!

Rutherford School, Edmonton

Mrs. Bell’s and Mrs. Neudecker’s Grade 3 Class participated in the AnimalTales program! The students loved all the stories but especially Max Talks to Me and Let’s Get a Pup! Said Kate The students also loved the writing activities that followed each book! Bravo Grade 3!

Carbon School, Carbon

Mrs. Stevenson’s Kindergarten Class participated in the AnimalTales program! The students demonstrated empathy and critical thinking through class discussions , and by going through several of the post reading activities! Awesome Job Kinders!

Rocky Lane School, Rocky Lane

Ms. Cormier’s Grade 5 students participated in the AnimalTales program! The students enjoyed the stories and the discussions that followed. Students shared stories of past experiences where animals were treated poorly, and reflected and made suggestions, as a class, as to how situations can be done differently in the future! Brave Grade 5!

Lorelei School, Edmonton

Miss Sereda’s Grade 4 class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students engaged in meaningful discussion after reading each story, and made connections to their own experiences with animals! Great Job Grade 4!

Heinsburg Community School, Heinsburg

Miss Parker’s Grade 1 students participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed all the stories and had fun thinking about situations from a pet’s point of view, especially dogs and cats! Good work Grade 1’s!

West Meadow Elementary School, Claresholm

The Animal Kindness Club participated in the AnimalTales program. This group of Grade 1 – 6 students used the books as an introduction to pet care, and humane education! Great discussions were had, and the discussions became more involved and deeper the more they worked through the stories! Fantastic job!

MidSun School, Calgary

Miss Lo’s students participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the hands on activities that accompanied the books.   Awesome job students!

Steinhauer School, Edmonton

Mrs. Roger’s Grade 3’s participated in the AnimalTales program. The books served as a great introduction to the Alberta SPCA for many of the students.   Fantastic job Grade 3!
