Helping teachers inspire compassion for animals, people & the environment

St. Clare School, Calgary

Mrs. Petrillo’s Grade Five Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and the discussion and activities that followed each one. Through the class discussion the students displaying compassion, empathy and respect for animals. Way to go, Grade 5!

Clairmont Community School, Clairmont

Mrs. Bruce’s Grade Three Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the books and the discussion and activities that followed each story. After reading Buddy Unchained, the students became empathetic to Buddy’s previous poor situation. The students talked about helping animals in need – rather than doing nothing. Way to go Grade 3!

Michael A. Kostek School, Edmonton

Mrs. Szawlowski’s Grade Five Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and the discussions that followed each one. Students shared what responsible pet ownership looks like, and came to the conclusion that having a pet is a big commitment! Way to go, Grade 5!
