HELPING TEACHERS INSPIRE COMPASSION FOR ANIMALS, PEOPLE & THE ENVIRONMENT
Mrs. Kent’s grade 3 students enjoyed AnimalTales. They had lots of discussion and enjoyed the talking about their own pets. They ‘loved the poetry connections” and creating Venn diagrams by comparing different books. One of the books in the grade 3 unit deals with the difficult subject of pet loss, and the class found this book “particular helpful” for students that have “felt loss and need some help connecting.”
