W. A. Day Elementary School, Fort Macleod

Mrs. Gunderson’s Grade 2’s participated in the AnimalTales program. The students had lots of discussions and enjoyed writing pet stories, they experienced, in their journals! Fantastic job grade 2!

Chief Justice Milvain School, Calgary

Ms. Epp’s Grade 3 students participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed using the animal cards to discuss what kid of pet they would want. These eager grade 3’s also completed a kindness tree! Way to go grade 3!

Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Edmonton

Mrs. Dawson’s Grade 5’s completed the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed strong conversations around feelings of empathy. The students also wrote reflections on One Duck, with many students noting that more needs to be done to protect animal’s natural habitats.

St. Anne School, Edmonton

Miss Romick’s Grade Three’s completed the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed thorough discussion and the class activities that followed each of the books! Great job grade 3!

Lane’s Lake Colony School, Castor

Mrs. Burwash’s Grade 5 class completed the AnimalTales program! The students really enjoyed the poems in Dogku, and writing their own animal inspired haiku poems! Bravo grade five!

Erskine Colony School, Erskine

Mrs. Guba’s grade 5 class completed the AnimalTales program! The picture book, Dogku, inspired the students to write their own animal themed haiku! These avid writers also wrote short stories from an animal’s point of view! Amazing job grade 5!

Holy Family School, Edmonton

Ms. Murphy’s grade two students participated in AnimalTales. The students enjoyed having a discussion around the picture books. Superb job grade 2!

Ms. Herbert’s grade 5 class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students became interested in animal welfare! Way to go grade 5!

Ms. Herbert’s grade 1 class participated in AnimalTales. The books lead to a great class discussion about the student’s personal experiences with their pets, and even inspired an art activity! Great job grade 1!
