Grade 3 students at R.J. Hawkey Elementary School are making a difference for animals in their community!
They built products as a part of Rocky View Schools Engineering Design Challenge, which asked students to apply their lessons in an authentic way; creating something that can be used!
The students created blankets, cat scratchers, and homes for turtles and dogs. Their creations will be donated to Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society and the Calgary Humane Society.
Teachers Tobey Daniels and Tara MacLean spearheaded the project.
