HELPING TEACHERS INSPIRE COMPASSION FOR ANIMALS, PEOPLE & THE ENVIRONMENT

Mrs. Bell’s grade 5 class did a project with the theme of ‘Your Actions Matter.’ It was combined it with an LA/Health/Art project where students created their own personal medieval coats of arms shields that represent who they are, and who they want to be. In addition to that, they wrote essays on what it means to be responsible and kind, and ‘how your actions matter’.

Students were also studying dragon poetry at the same time. In a response piece titled “If I had a dragon…”, all of the students included details on how to be a responsible dragon owner.

Way to go grade 5! Such an interesting and creative take on the theme of responsibility!
