HELPING TEACHERS INSPIRE COMPASSION FOR ANIMALS, PEOPLE & THE ENVIRONMENT
Ms. Smith’s Grade One Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed listening to the stories and the discussion that was had after each one. The students read the book as a whole class and then used a sharing circle to discuss, which allowed everyone the chance to speak and ensured they were listened to. A respectful debate was had after reading Hey Little Ant if the students would step on the ant or not!
