HELPING TEACHERS INSPIRE COMPASSION FOR ANIMALS, PEOPLE & THE ENVIRONMENT
Mrs. Reti’s grade 3 students enjoyed the AnimalTales program. They especially appreciated “Ten Good Things About Barney,” learning about positive ways to deal with grief and show support for those that are going through a difficult time. Students shared many personal stories and made many connections with the themes in the books. After reading “A home for Dakota,” students learned about puppy mills and “definitely showed empathy for [the dogs]” in the story.
