Mrs. Stang’s Grade Three Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students related to and enjoyed the four books as well as the discussion questions and activities that followed each story. In particular the students enjoyed researching ‘strange’ animals behaviours and looking at significant animals in different countries! Way to go, Grade 3!

Arrowwood School, Arrowwood

Ms. Williams’ Grade 3/4 Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the books Tanna’s Owl and It’s Raining Cats and Cats! The students furthered their learning to include endangered wild animals in Alberta, and discovered what they can do to help! Way to go students!

St. Michael’s School, Bow Island

Mrs. Gutfriend’s Grade Four Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students enjoyed the stories and had great discussion following each book! The students even made a Kindness Tree as a post-reading activity. Way to go, Grade 4!

Ms. Kerr’s Grade Six Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students used centers to work their way through each book, having a new activity at each center. The students were able to compare some of their own pets to the animals and learn about proper care. Bravo, Grade 6!

Mrs. Carroll’s Grade Two Class participated in the AnimalTales program. The students connected the stories to their own animals and the importance of caring for them! The students had a great discussion on how to help an animal in need (who to tell) and what that entails. Way to go, Grade 2!

Students have even planned what to do if they find an animal in distress, as well as planning a fundraiser for their local SPCA! Amazing job, Grade 4!
